Ok so im getting my 15 credits can i join the marines with add?
ADHD is classified as a mental disorder. It can be classified as a learning disability if it substantially limits your academic performance. Not trying to be mean here, but no Marine will want to be in combat with someone who has a "Mental Disorder". The very nature of the corps is to fight. You will attend schooling in a specialty: supply, avionics, hydraulics or heavy equipment, but first and foremost you will learn what it means to be a US Marine. You'll study, history, conflict, and more history. You will learn your trade, but you are being trained for battle. This is not high school, not in any way. You will study, you will learn, and in the time it takes you to drop your pencil to the floor and pick it up, you will have missed the equivalent of 15 minutes of college. You must be absolutely alert and sharp every second. No drifting off or thinking about something else. To do so will get somebody killed. The Marine Corps is serious business, and all business. If you don't or can't pay attention, you will not make it. ...therefore, I don't believe the USMC will want you. They have thousands of "A" personality types waiting eagerly to serve, and they will choose the best, the brightest, and the sharpest. Again, no person slam intended. This is serious business, and these are words that you need to hear. Good Luck
