How many ounces does YOUR baby drink per day?

My four month old usually takes 36 to 42 ounces of Alimentum formula per day. At his last Dr. visit the pediatrician was a bit horrified that he drinks so much. However he has been gaining height faster than weight: he is in the 95th percentile for height and 45th for weight. Clearly he is not overweight. I do not think he is overeating however I am just curious to hear how much other babies around his age are eating?
