Need advise on applying for a teaching credential in California with a DUI?

I had a DUI incident back in 2004 which was reduced to a conviction of "wet" reckless driving and has recently been expunged. I am now getting ready to apply for a teaching credential in California and I would like to ask for advise to anyone who has successfully obtained a credential after having a DUI conviction. What did you write on your application? What should I avoid saying? What are some key words I should use?
