Pediatric nursing questions..? please look?

YOu first need to get your RN--all nurses are trained the same. Then you have the choice of working in a hospital with a pediatric component or an all pediatric hospital. Nurses essentially perform the same duties with kids that they would do with adults: you assess their status, administer medications, take them to treatments, admits & discharges, etc. In a pediatric facility there are specialty floors where the nursing is far more tailored to the type of patient such as bone marrow transplant units, rehab units, cancer floors, etc. However, this is a bit down the road--you need to complete your high school education and get accepted into a RN program first. That would be a BSRN-4 years.
