What else can i do for a fever?

my 33 month old has been running a temp all day. it spiked up to 103.4 this morning and has stayed at about 101 with tylenol. its back up to 103. i called the pediatrician and they said if its just a temp there is not much else they can do or see until more symptoms show. they said call tomorrow if its still running above 101. is there anything else other than tylenol i can try? he rarely gets fevers and they have never gone up to 101, and a dose of tylenol always brought it right back down. i have been giving him cool apple juice with water and just water also.
