Is it better to go to court or get a hearing waiver for traffic violations?
I recently got a speeding ticket for going 70 mph in a 55 mph zone. My only other speeding violation was a couple years ago while I was in high school, but I had gone to court for that and received a probation before judgment ruling to get the points expunged from my license by pleading guilty with explanation. However this sounds exactly like getting a hearing waiver except with the possibility of having the cop not show up and getting the case dismissed. So what should I do? and if I do decide to go to court can I still did what I had done before? I know I was speeding and I don't care about getting the fine, I just don't want the points to raise my insurance.
Wondering about my daughter's hearing and speech....?
Hey, My son was three months preemie. We went thru all sorts of issues with speech and hearing. I went to specialists and had tests etc done and it all came back clear. However the audiologist refered us to a speech therapist which he saw once a week for a few years. It really made a big dif. as for hearing nothing was done. Unfortunately sometimes especially with preemies things can take longer to progress. I wish you the best of luck. P.s remember no two kiddies ever progress the same :)

Will expunged records come up on a Secret Clearance?
a little over a year ago i was caught on my college campus with a tiny amount of marijuana and charged with a misdemeanor of possession of marijuana. My lawyer told me the best thing to do would go to the county jail for 3 days, as opposed to doing a year of probation and other requirements, in which case afterwords i could get it expunged and no one would be able to see it on my record. however, my lifelong goal has been to become a Marine and specifically Marine Recon. one of the requirements of Marine Recon is you have to be able to obtain a Secret Clearance. im worried that the Marines will be able to see this on my record because i figured if the government really wants to find something they can and will. or does expunged basically disappear all evidence of the situation of ever happening? id appreciate it if only people who have experience in either fields (military, law, or other) would answer and cite your source, thanks.
If your felony has been expunged can you purchase a firearm?
expunged does NOT mean erased it means it can not be seen by the general public, law enforcement will always be able to see your record as well as certain professions you may apply to, it stays with you for life
Is this a real mental illness?
:D aww no you dont have a problem, you just love children<3 but i think you should look into child care or something you know?
Can i join the army with a felony waiver? And has anyone ever met someone in the service with a felony?
Last year november 2010 I decided to go out and hang with a cousin of mine. She's not a bad person but just has a problem with taking things. Normally when i'm around she doesn't do anything but that day we decided to walk to the library because her mother was there. There was a red mopad and she was already getting the wrong idea so i walked off further into the parking lot to be away. I meet back up with her and some guy after they moved the mopad and i walk with her back to a friends house and the cops roll up on us and take both of us into custody for larceny. i explained what had happened and that i had ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with it. So i agreed to a first offenders program on my court date being that they said it would get expunged. I didnt know what to do so i took the deal. Going to the army has always been a strong aspiration of mine even though i failed the test by one point before everything happened. Is it possible for me to still join? maybe the army? national guard? navy?
