FBI Background Check and Expungement?

I was wondering if anyone know whether or not an FBI Background Check includes criminal records that have been expunged? I have a few issues on my record and I am working on getting them expunged so I can go into law enforcement. I was wondering if I needed to disclose those charges when filling out the paperwork.
